Some YouTube EyeCandy

Isn't it a gorgeous day, daydreamers?  Of course it is!  And I'm not just saying that because my latest video uploaded in one try.  No.  Not I!

I haven't wrote on here as much as I've wanted.  I have images and videos scattered between multiple devices.  Not exactly true, but moving the storage is a pain due to electrical outlets. lol  Years ago, decades really,  I got very fast at typing on this massive ergonomic keyboard.  I love that keyboard.  LOVE it!  Unfortunately, it means I hate typing on anything else.  Texting isn't even worth mentioning.  I don't think I'll ever become fast on a phone. lol  So that's your tangent for the day.  Now on with the artsy stuff.  Yeah!

There's six or seven kaleidoscope videos uploaded on YouTube at this time.  I'll link them below.  Some have poetry on them, and some don't.  Two were created with Valentine's Day in mind.  Studies have shown that kaleidoscopes have a very calming effect on varying mental illnesses.  I think they can also be soothing to people with physical pain.  It doesn't stop the pain, but it is something rhythmic to focus on that let's the mind sort of calm down from the antsy state that pain can rev a person up to.  I, personally, think they give a person a chance to slow their mind down.  So I decided to start creating them at the end of last year when  was going through a particular rough patch myself. 

I believe that creativity is one of the best healing medicines out there.  No, it doesn't fix the disease or the broken bone, etc.  But it does heal the soul and the mind.  As long as we're able to keep our spirits up and our minds engaged and intact, we are able to move past many obstacles.   Not just by surviving, but by thriving in what we're capable of.

Art allows us to express issues that are wide and varied.  It lets us share a little piece of our soul with someone who needs it.  Whether it's through motivation, celebration, or a baring of our own trials and tribulations to engage and offer an empathetic hand to someone in a similar situation.  Creativity has always been about love for me.  I'm just getting back on that focus.

A New Introduction

Welcome daydreamers!

As you might notice, my blog is blank!  I've decided to make a fresh start, and would love to invite you along.  I haven't been writing blog posts for awhile because they're not that popular anymore, but I miss it.   So with that in mind, I'm going to start again.  Do a dance!  Get happy!   Feel yourself go crazy! ;)

With this in mind, you might be wondering what I have planned to write since I've deleted all of my previous posts and tutorials.  That's the magic question, isn't it?  I've given a lot of thought to this for almost a year now, going back and forth in my mind between what is " logical and good business" and "what my heart wants to do."  Guess which direction I'm going in? That's right my dearly demented readers.  It's going to get all pumpa, pumpa, beat, beat, beat up in this blog.  The truth is, I don't care about algorithms, or what's popular, whether it's too wordy, or if I can hold your attention.  I've tried to do things the "suggested" way, and frankly I've found that it sucks the life out of creative minds.  So I'm done with it.  This is my space, so I'm going to make it pj comfy.  That means goofy posts, lots of personality, bushels and bushels of creativity, tips, and tricks, a tutorial now and then, a scattering of reviews, a kingdom's worth of artwork, (maybe two!), lots of videos, a menagerie of poetry, perhaps a cookbook worth of recipes, some zany humor, and quite possibly a rant or two about who knows what.  Dear diary, did I remember to include the kitchen sink?"

I believe in art from the heart.  I believe that creativity is some of the best medicine out there.  And I believe that right now there's a trend of just selling product and focusing on a fast "reward" that gets people hooked into buying verses getting people hooked on the soul rejuvenating deliciousness that is creating with purpose.  So I'm hoping that by sharing a heavy dollop of my own creative love, I can be one of the shimmering droplets in the tide of heart art that surges across the universe.  That's right!  Pluto or bust, baby!   How's that for short term goals?  ;)  I'll be serious on occasion, too.  Darn those facets!  Shine bright like a Moissanite!  How about a Zircon?  Yeah!  A pink one!  Or orange.  A dawn colored one!

Did I mention I'm quite content having fruit loops for posts?  No?  You're welcome. Crunch, crunch, baby.  She's kooky, kooky crazy.
